If you love the good old fizzy stuff and want to make a nice refreshing pint then you'll be needing a home brew lager kit! They're probably not as popular as the wines and the beers and there's not as much variation but there are a few kits to consider, have a look below at some of the possible makes and models!
Coopers Australian Lager
If you're looking for a refreshing lager that's really cheap and fun to make then look no further than this good old Aussie lager! For less than a tenner you can be making yourself 40 pints of beer from home. It's not the best you can buy, but a good intro to making lager nonetheless. Sam says: 'This lager is great if you're making your first one like I was. I made just under 40 pints which I bottled after about a week. I used Coopers Carbonation Drops instead of priming sugar for the fizz which worked well, didn't open a bottle for a good few weeks but when I did it had loads of fizz and poured with a good head. The head retention wasn't the best, disappeared quite quickly. Flavour wise, quite strong tasting, but fairly drinkable with a strength of around 4.5%. Probably could get used to it quite quickly. Not the same quality as the ale kits but not too bad. If you want to just give a go then it's a good experiment.' |
Coopers Mexican Cerveza Lager
Like Corona or Sol? Try this kit! If you love those Mexican style lagers and want to make one yourself then this is a good option! This one is surprisingly good and quite similar to those light bottled lagers you can get in pubs. By following the easy to understand instructions you can be enjoying your brew in as little as a month! Ice cold with a wedge of lime is the way to go! |
