Red Wine ReviewsCalifornia Connoisseur Cabernet Sauvignon Review
This wine kit is pretty much slap bang in middle when it comes what's on the market in terms of price. Just over £40 to buy and you can make 30, good quality bottles of wine... that's not bad! This one is similar to what you could buy in the super market for around £5-6. It regularly smashes 5 star reviews! Finishing at around 12%, it's full bodied and full of fantastic fragrances. Notes of blackcurrant are prominent with a subtle edge of Cedar. After 4 weeks, a young taste includes a tannin character, leave it to age and it will smooth out into a beautiful wine that's just perfect with Beef, Lamb and even Game. It's geared to age well so it's advised to leave it extra long... if you can! For such a great price, it's a serious kit that's definitely worth a go. You won't find a bad word about this one! |
White Wine ReviewsCellar 7 Chardonnay 7 Day Wine Kit
If you want a quick, quality white wine that's ready to drink in just 7 days then these are the ones to go for. A bottle of this Chardonnay will produce you a similar quality to what you might buy in the supermarket for around £4. If you've tried something cheap like Winebuddy then this is a huge step up that will take you to the next stage. This one is rich and silky, with beautiful hints of tropical fruits and citrus. You can bottle it and drink in a week but it's not going to be at its best. Like all wines, let it mature for a month or so to get a better flavour. |
Rosé Wine ReviewsKenRidge Classic White Zinfandel
KenRidge make some of the best, premium kits around and this rosé is no exception! A dark coloured wine with stunning notes of strawberry and melon... it's so crisp! It's super easy to make and includes everything you need to get the best product at the end of it. This one will need at least 4 weeks to be ready if you want that clear, crisp look and a full flavour. However, as always, it would be better leaving it for a few more months to mature! |
